Surrendering all to GOD.

Surrendering all to GOD

                          SURRENDERING ALL TO GOD

“Surrender” is one simple word, yet so difficult to do. We have all heard about surrendering everything to God.

I found God when I was a child, and I have heard pastors preach about surrendering to God throughout my life. But one year ago, I truly struggled to surrender my pain, burdens, and both small and big problems to Him. I used to wrestle and cry almost all night, worrying about my present problems and the future. I thought that as a human, I could be self-sufficient, capable of handling and solving everything I was going through. However, the more I tried to do it alone, the more I sank into deep darkness. I felt lost and in despair-it almost felt like there was no way out. But as Matthew 18:12 (NIV) says: “What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off?”

My Abba, Jesus Christ, came to find me-the lost sheep who chose not to look for her Shepherd. And as you might have guessed, He found me. HE FOUND ME IN THAT DARKNESS AND RESCUED ME! I was delivered from my pain and burdens.

As Matthew 11:28 (NIV) says:

“Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

He gave me rest, joy, and peace beyond explanation. I still cannot fully describe what I felt. It was as if a mountain of burdens had been lifted off my shoulders, my anxiety disappeared into thin air, and instead of overthinking, I started talking with God in my heart almost all the time. If you ask me what lesson I have learned from my mistakes, it is this: the quicker you submit to God, the better it gets. Don’t get me wrong life can be brutal sometimes. It throws unexpected challenges at us. But let me tell you, my friend, God has never promised us a happy and comfortable life.

However, here’s the twist! God says in John 16:33 (NIV):

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world, you will have trouble.

But take heart, I have overcome the world.”

Did you read that? He has overcome the world. So, whatever battle you are fighting, however heavy your burden is, or how deep your wounds are, SURRENDER ALL TO GOD. You do not have to fight alone. You do not have to go through life alone. You, me-we all have Jesus Christ, our superhero, the one who has overcome this world, the one who has victory over death. It is easy to focus on our storms, just like the disciples in Matthew 8:23-25, but it is far better and wiser to keep our eyes on God. We should all hold on to Jesus Christ, like Peter did during the storm. Also, if you think you are self-sufficient and can fight your battles alone, then you are making a grave mistake. We can never be self-sufficient.

As 2 Corinthians 3:5 (ESV) states:

“Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God.”

We need God every day, every minute, every second. He is the vine; we are the branches. We are nothing without God. Furthermore, trust God, surrender to Him, and do not trust yourself.

Proverbs 3:5-6 (NIV) says:

nepali christan song

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him,

and He will make your paths straight.”

My final encouragement in this blog is this: submit and surrender all to God. He is the one who cares and knows even the number of hairs on our heads (Luke 12:7). He cares about our little problems, our seemingly insignificant struggles, our small victories, and our achievements. We are so important and precious in His eyes that everything about us matters to Him.

So, let’s run to the one who deeply and continuously cares for us-Jesus Christ, our superhero.

Thank you for reading my first blog.
